Pratomagno

Description

In Purgatorio V Dante mentions Pratomagno to indicate the speed with which the demon, having unleashed the storm against the body of Buonconte da Montefeltro, covers the space separating the place of the young man's death from the mountain's summit, where it is said that the fog and wind set in motion by him would have extended as far as the great ridge. The verse places Pratomagno as the point of arrival of the diabolical fury, depicted in the act of covering with vapor and wind the entire stretch from the battlefield to the crest.
